Filling in for dad. 06/30/2009

Joss was filling in for Jason today. He was at work, so she was taking care of business here at home. She was very busy juggling phone calls on her blackberry, while checking her Google calendar for appointment schedules on her computer.

Weekend Fun 06/29/2009

We had a fun Browning weekend a the cabin in Duchesne this last weekend. We invited Matt, Jenny, Jase, and Mitch. Zak had to work.
We got there Friday night and put the kids straight to bed. We watched movies and had popcorn and hot chocolate.
Saturday we had a yummy breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and omelettes. Then we went to Starvation Reservoir and played in the sand on the shore and watched all the boats go by. We came back to the cabin, put the kids down for a nap and had Grilled Bratwurst with sauteed caramelized onions. YUM! The boys went shooting for a few hours while Jenny and I relaxed. For dinner we had tin foil dinners of meat, onions, potatoes, and carrots with Lipton Onion Soup Mix that we cooked on the Charcoal Grill with S'mores and cookies for dessert. I actually gained 6 lbs this weekend. Sick. It was so good though!
Sunday we woke up had a yummy breakfast and lounged around then packed up and came home. The kids slept great the whole way home. We got home about 1:00, gave them lunch and took them to the pool. By the time we got home we were so exhausted. We threw the kids in the bath, gave them dinner and put them to bed an hour early. Poor Joss fell asleep in her dinner they were so tired. Jason and I popped in a movie and called it an early night it was a great end to a long weekend.

I almost forgot. We were all hanging out on the deck and the kids were going up and down the stairs playing. I was holding Joss and it was like slow motion as I watched Jaxon tumble head first down the stairs. I started screaming like my grandmother and Matt and Jenny went jumping down the stairs after him. Jaxon stands up looks down at his sippy cup that he dropped and says "Uh Oh." Brushes himself off and goes back to playing again. I felt like I was having heart palpatations, trying to catch my breath and he is all chill like nothing happened back to playing in the dirt with his cousin. My brothers were like "Hi Bobbi" (My grandma's name.) Ok maybe I over reacted a little. Wouldn't you scream if you watched your baby tumble down stairs?

One of our favorite places to take the babies to eat is Johannas Kitchen. iI has a choo choo train on a track that goes around the ceiling of the restaurant. The kids get excited and wave and blow kisses at it. I got a cute little video of them doing it.
We have a train that goes right by our house. Every day when they hear the horn blow we run into their room and they stand on the rocking chair up against the window and I open up the curtains and we wave and blow kisses. We have to do this 3 times a day. They never get sick of it. I do.

Cute pictures of my little cupcake. Once again wearing a recycled 9 month dress as a shirt. Speaking of recycling. I have been selling a bunch of baby crap on craigslist and KSL. It makes me sad to get rid of it, but who needs 2 swings, 2 bouncers, 2 carseats, 2 bjorns, 2 boppys laying around their house? I wanted to save them just in case one day we are blessed with another bundle of joy. But then Jason gave me the sideways evil eye and said "NOT gonna happen, but IF in 5 years it does, you can buy new stuff." I think he still remembers the twin-sleepless-crying-colick-NICU-newborn-stage as if it was yesterday.

Why do I get the feeling that I am going to be beating girls off of Jaxon with a stick? Is he a charmer or what?! Little flirt! He already has a few "Geronimo!" scars as well. See, the problem with Jaxon is, all he has to do is shoot me these "charmer" eyes, and I will do whatever he wants. He has total control over me. I have no will power. I mean, could you say no to that look?

A Friday in the life... 06/20/2009

8am Friday, breakfast: Strawberry stuffed wholegrain waffle, sliced banana, milk
9am hanging on the baby gate begging to go outside.
9:10 am get kids dressed, put on shoes, each kid grabs ugly hat that does not match their outfit, but I'm not one to argue.
9:15am in wagon heading to the park with a bottle of bubbles in my pocket
9:20 swinging in the swings while I blow bubbles in their faces. 1 kid going down the slide while other kid threatens to jump from highest playground platform.
running around trying to make sure both kids are safe while running in opposite directions. watch the train go by and blow kisses and wave.
10:15am sipping juice watching cartoons

11:00-1:30 nap time Mommy cleans kitchen, does load of laundry, makes bed, gets dressed, messes around on internet, eats lunch.
1:30 feed kids lunch, comb hair, get shoes on, go to pool. Find out kid got sick in pool so it is shut down. Drop kids off at child center and lay out with a magazine for exactly 24 min. See lady from child center walking around pool with sign with my name on it. Jaxon has poopy diaper, kids are both screaming- change diaper while holding sobbing Joss in left arm then go home

3:10 Jaxon, stands on arm of couch, outstretches arms, closes eyes, and throws himself off couch in attempt to commit suicide. Attempt fails, but lands him a bloody lip.
3:11 bloodied shirt stripped off, Jax in highchair eating a Popsicle to help with swelling and bleeding. Joss is jealous so she gets one too.

4:00pm kids start water fight

4:30 Joss does Yoga. Downward facing dog.

4:32 Joss steals my hat, thinks she is pretty cool

4:33 Jax steals my hat from Joss, thinks he's pretty cool, Joss doesnt.

4:34 Joss curls up in my lap, sucks thumb and pouts.

4:35 Joss does more Yoga- Froggy pose.

5:30 dinner macaroni and beef in tomato sauce with milk. My mom calls so I go in the other room so I can hear her. Come back in 10 min later to find this, and Joss combing her hair with tomato sauce covered fork:

6:00 Into the bath they go!

6:30 dad comes home helps with jammies and cleaning kitchen
7:00 Jason picks up uncle Zak (Dude) from work while I get kids to bed.
7:15 kids are asleep Zak is playing computer games, Jason and I are on our way out the door to meet up with Matt and jenny for a movie. We see "The Proposal" it is hilarious.
9:30 we are home, bye bye to Zak,
12:08am I am coughing my head off trying to get over this cold while writing a blog post of my Friday.
Going to bed now. Good night.

Recycling 06/19/2009

I have been recycling Joss' old dresses from when she was 6-9 mo old.I found about 20 dresses that were in a bin of old clothes. I pulled them out and they fit just perfect as shirts. Aren't I clever?
