Jaxon had a 103.6 fever today. I took him back to the Dr and he has a red throat. No ear infection this time though. After some Motrin, he started acting like he felt a lot better.
I turned 28  yesterday. I feel old. But, I do have 2 fabulous kids, so I did accomplish something great this last year. We had a little family party today, here are some pictures:

The babies are only 4 months younger than their cousin Jase. I bet they will be great friends growing up. I loved having a bunch of cousins around my age and so did Jason. We look forward to our kids growing up together!

Tubby Time!

The twins nicknames are:

Josselyn: Joss Bug/Jossy/Jossmong/Sweet Pea/Joss Muffin/Chipmunk/Princess/Chunk Muffin/Monger 1

Jaxon: Jaximus/Jaxmong/Little Terror/Pea Pod/Little Buddy/Monger 2

A funny story:
In the Nicu the twins were referred to as Baby A and Baby B. I got a call one day from the hospital billing department. When I answered the phone the lady said " Hello, is this the parent of... uh... Boyb?" I knew exactly what she was talking about, she was reading paper work that said Baby B and thought his name was Boyb. I started cracking up and said, "No my sons name is Jaxon, he is a twin.. "Baby B". She was so embarrassed. She said she thought Boyb was a very strange name. So my dad will often call and say how is Boyb and Girla doing?

Today we went to the park to watch Fischer's soccer game. It was so hot out today. We tried our best to keep the babies covered. Here are some pictures of our day at the park.

My first Mothers Day was a great one. Jason (ahem, I mean Jax and Joss) bought me flowers, and ordered Mimi's take out for breakfast. We spent the day playing with the babies. Later we went to see Grammy Deary and Grandy. For dinner we went to the park with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Teresa, Matt, Vicki, Kanyon, and Fischer. Grandpa pushed the babies in the stroller and sang to them the whole way.
They are so close to sitting up by themselves, They can stay for about 20 seconds before they topple over. Joss started holding her bottle by herself yesterday which is a huge break for me. She still needs a little help. Jaxon is always rolling all over and clobbering her. She isn't quick enough to get away yet. They have fun playing with each other. They light up when they see eachother, but they still get jealous if one is in the jumper, or I am holding one, the other is like "Hey! What about me!!"
Every day I put on a little performance for the babies, I sing and dance like a fool and if anyone else was around there is no way I would do the things I do. They crack up and laugh at me. It's a good thing they don't care that I sing off key. Their favorite songs are: "I got no strings to hold me down" by Pinocchio while they are getting dressed. "Look for the Bear Necessities" from Jungle book, when they are getting their diapers changed. "Tiny Turtle", or "Rubber Ducky" during tubby time. "Somewhere out there" from American Tail while I am rocking them to sleep.
I am so grateful to be a mommy. It is my dream come true. It still amazes me every day that these are my twins. They are so much fun!

Spring pictures 05/08/2008

The babies are starting to feel better and are getting back to their usual happy personalities. Josselyn is 17lbs 5oz. Jaxon is 15lbs 1oz. He has some catching up to do.
Ceason came to town from Arizona this last weekend and stayed at our house. The babies had so much fun playing with her. She even helped give them a bath. She babysat Joss when we took Jax to the Dr and fed her carrotts which she spit all over Ceason and her white outfit. We were so sad when she left, we can't wait to see her again. The next time we see her we will be at the beach in Kauai! We love you Auntie CeCe!!!
I think 7 months is such a great age. They are still small enough to stay put. I don't have to chase after them all day. They play so well together and love each other so much. They laugh and giggle and smile all the time. It is so fun.
Here are some family pictures we took last week with Jason's parents and sister.

Yes, now Josselyn is sick. She has the same ear infection, and the same viral sore throat. They have both been sleeping a lot during the day, and getting up at night.
Usually when they wake up in the middle of the night, we have been trying to let them fall back asleep on their own. I don't know what made Jason go pick up Jaxon that night. His daddy instincts told him something was wrong. We are lucky he noticed Jaxons fever when he did and get him into a cool bath, and get him Tylenol before it got worse.  Thanks Dad!

My poor baby boy 05/03/2008

Early this morning at 12:30am, Jaxon started screaming. Jason went in to check on him and he was burning up. We took his temperature and it was 104.7! We put him in a luke warm bath and called his Dr. We took him to the Dr.today and he has  small white ulcers on the back of his throat and an ear infection. Poor little guy. They had to irrigate his ear and got him started on antibiotics. His viral throat infection is contagious for a few days. I really hope Joss doesn't get it. Since they are twins they share bottles, pacifiers, everything. He has been so lathargic, and sleepy, and hasn't been eating well. Not his usual self. I hope he starts feeling better soon.
