Saturday we decided to take the kids to the Zoo for their first time. The weather was gorgeous! We were afraid it might be too chilly, but it turned out to be sunny and perfect. They were SO good! They loved looking at all the animals. I think their favorites were the monkeys and giraffe's. They love animals, and are learning what they all are and what sounds they make. Dinner at Grammy Deary's house for Uncle Mitch's Birthday.

Here is a little video of Jaxon being proud of himself for going down the slide. I said "YES!" and he copied me. It was the first time he had ever said "Yes!" It was pretty cute so I got it on camera. They are little mimickers now. They copy a lot of the things we say. Guess it's time to start spelling profanities instead of blurting them out. (Just kidding, I would NEVER say a bad word:) Hey, at least their first word wasn't "Oh Sh!t" like their daddy's.

This is how Jaxon came home from his day at the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa.They were worried we would never let them watch the babies again. We know all to well how easily accidents happen. Boys will be boys! So don't worry Grandma and Grandpa. This is just one more bump for Jaxon to add to his collection on his forehead. Sorry it had to happen on your watch.
Last night after giving the babies their tubby, Grandpa was helping us get them dressed. Josselyn looks up at him and says "Hi Gwapa."  It was so cute. That was the first time she has said it.

Friday night Jason and I took the babies up to his parents cabin in Duchesne. We found that just 5 minutes away is Starvation Reservoir. We took the babies to the beach and let them throw rocks in the lake. They had so much fun running around. Saturday night Jason's parents and aunt met us up there after we put the kids to bed and Jason and I drove home to have Sunday all to ourselves while they play with the babies up there and bring them home today. Who new at 4 weeks old when we dressed him for Halloween just how dead on we would be?
Wednesday night we went to put the kids to bed and I saw a black piece of wood laying on the floor. I picked it up and noticed it was a wood slat from his crib. My super human strength 17 month old baby had KICKED the wooden bar out!  The space was big enough for him to climb out of, or at least get choked in. We freaked out. If he was strong enough to kick it out, how could we mend it well enough for him to sleep in it?  With my quick thinking we turned their cribs facing eachother. There was still a gap in between the cribs so we got a baby gate and blankets and wedged it between the cribs so he couldn't climb out and get stuck between the two cribs. (There is no telling what this kid is capable of yet.) You can imagine my frantic phone call to the manuufacturer about the safty of their cribs. I was assured they would send out a replacement front panel of the crib. Since it is on backorder, we have to wait until the end of April at the soonest. So now their cute tiny nursery has 2 huge cribs in the middle of it. as if it wasn't crowded enough to begin with.

Jax has been in the best mood lately. He has been so giggly and funny. Here is a video of him cracking up. It seems like their vocabulary has really sprouted the last 2 weeks as well. They always say "Hellooo." Jaxon says "where is it?" "what is it" "where is shoe?" Joss says Alligator it sounds really funny when she says it.  Jaxon said  "Hi Joss" today. Sounds more like "Hija."

My kids were playing in the family room pushing eachother around on their little push cart and I thought it would be a perfect time for me to throw in a batch of laundry right around the corner. (WRONG.) So I am doing laundry, and I hear a muffled scream. This can't be good so I come running around the corner and hear Joss screaming, but I still can't see her. I am panicked. I throw open the curtain over the sliding glass door and there she is. Sitting on the back porch in ice and snow. Screaming. Our sliding glass door is locked, and has a piece of wood wedged in the track to keep it secure. I have no time to open the door so I dive through the dog door myself and pull her back through. Her hands are icicles, her new strawberry jammies are wet and covered in snow. My poor little strawberry shortcake! My neighbors are probably thinking, why is there a screaming baby on their back porch sitting in ice and snow. (Oh I could just die.) I ran her hands under warm water and got her dressed in a warm outfit. I guess I am going to have to cover the dog door now and just let Morgan in and out. I swear, at this age, you can't turn your back for 1 minute. They have now figured out how to climb on the couches and jump on them. They are little climbers now. Every inch taller they grow is a whole new world of things that I need to baby proof. Heaven help me.

Today would have been Jax and Joss's cousin Luke's 3rd birthday. Since Aunt Miranda lives in Texas we went to visit his grave and take flowers there for her. Here are some pictures of our day. The weather was beautiful.

Jaxon has been training this week. He does a few sets of pull ups, a few laps around the kitchen, lifts really heavy toys multiple times, pushes the yoga ball around, does a few sit ups and crunches. He is going to be so buff.
