Both babies have had a cold for about a week. Just sniffles and fevers and runny noses. Well the last 2 days Jaxon started wheezing. He would wheeze really bad when he was playing and being active. He was snoring and breathing really loudly when he slept and had a hard time drinking his bottle since he couldn't breathe very well out of his nose. I started to get concerned yesterday when the wheezing got really bad. Jason got home from work and we decided to take him to the after hours pediatrician. They gave Jaxon an albuterol nebulizer breathing treatment, which he hated. We ended up having to pin his arms down and hold the mask over his mouth while he screamed. Which made him wheeze even worse, but seemed to loosen his chest up and he was having a more productive wheeze. We got a prescription of Xopenex which is what I use for my asthma. We have to administer it through a air chamber hooked to the end of a mask. The pharmacy was out of masks. It has been quite a challenge for me to get him to suck on the end of the air chamber on the inhaler today. I tried to make it look fun, and if you suck hard enough it makes a honking noise, but he still can't really figure it out. He was diagnosed with Respiratory Inflammatroy Disease, which is just the beginning stages of what may or may not turn into asthma. They wont know for certain if he has asthma until he is about 4 or 5. But he does have a higher liklyhood to it since I have asthma.  I hope this cold goes away soon and takes his breathing problems away with it. I hate seeing my poor baby struggle to breathe. Poor kid!

P.S. I cut his hair all by myself yesterday. Isn't he cute!?

All of this happened just as I was washing the dishes.MERCY!

Merry-Go-Round 02/23/2009

We took the babies to the mall to ride on the Merry Go Round. They were so excited they could hardly stand it. Jaxon was jumping up and down on his horse and laughing, both of their eyes were huge. THEN it started to MOVE! OH MY GOSH!!! Can this possibly be even more fun??? They have never been so excited in their lives. They enjoyed it so much we went back for another ride the next day. Here are some cute pictures and a little video.

This is what they were doing instead of napping....

Friday Nights 02/19/2009

What Jason and I consider a fun time on Friday nights has sure changed. A few years ago, we wouldn't have been caught dead hanging out at VF Factory outlets on a Friday night. They have so many fun ride on toys for the kids there though! We took them to a little toy store and they each picked out a ball, and I got them the boy girl twin baby dolls in the post below. They rode the horsey merry-go-round, Bucking Bronco, Dumbo,  and the Log Ride (Joss did not have a good experience on the log ride since she fell out of it- whoops!). It is amazing how much fun $0.50 can buy a kid. We are such parents now! We plan what restaurants to go to for dinner by deciding what places have good finger foods, are noisy, have good high chairs with working straps, and what place can get us in and out really fast, and box up our food to go quickly in case of a melt down.  Now we decide which fast food restaurants to go to based on the quality of their play land. It is such a different life we have now, but such a better life!  Here are some pictures from Famous Daves BBQ a few nights ago. I have never seen my kids eat so much in their lives. They were going nuts for cornbread and brisket. The music was up loud and they were rockin out dancing and giggling and having the best time. I am voting for 16 months old to be my favorite age. Hands down!

Just like Mommy 02/19/2009

Josselyn is practicing to be a mom of twins just like me.

She will tandem breast feed them.

She will carry them both around at the same time so they get equal amount of love.

She will protect them from danger

She will learn new techniques on how to pick up two newborns at the same time.

In case of emergency, she will learn CPR.

When it gets too much too handle, and the stress is too overwhelming, she will ask for a helping hand.

She will make sure each child gets special one on one time with her.

I think she will make a pretty great mom!

We had a great Valentines Day. Ceason came into town and had the pleasure of having two 16 month old Valentines! She babysat while Jason and I went on a date. Yay for us! We went to dinner and a movie. Thanks for playing with the kiddos Cece, they had so much fun with you!
Jaxon was being so cute. He would get a running start and come running around the corner and tackle Jason. It was so funny. He would giggle so hard every time. He kept doing it over and over and would get the same running start every time.

Ballerina Joss 02/10/2009

Jaxon: Says ball, vroom vroom with his toy cars, quack quack, says shoe, dad, mom, this?, waves bye bye, says head while patting his head, says nose, and grabs his ear when you ask him where his ear is. Gives kisses, bites, shakes his head "no", says no no no, growls. Loves to be tickled and has the cutest laugh in the world. He is a big cuddler when he is sleepy and sometimes if he wakes up at night I bring him to bed with me and he sleeps on my chest and drools on my shoulder and I love every second of it.
He is really good at walking backwards, loves to ride on Morgans back, only likes to be held if he is facing outward, likes to throw things in Joss's crib while she naps, likes to chew the edge of his crib, drools a lot, likes to throw things/toys over edges ie: baby gate, our headboard, crib, laundry basket, trash can (good bye remote control), likes to hide his toys/sippy cups outside on the porch by putting them through the dog door, then secretly watches while Morgan gets in trouble for it. likes to push Joss around in the laundry basket, likes to stand on top of his ride on toys-(he has great balance), loves to steal whatever toy Joss is holding, loves bath time, likes to be in the back seat of the stroller so he can kick the back of Joss's seat. loves to dance, just started to pay attention if a cartoon is on tv. hates to get dressed, hates to get his diaper changed, hates to sit still to get hair combed unless he is holding something naughty like remote control, magazine, or something else he shouldn't play with. Loves to be tossed in the air.

Joss: Says hi, ball, momma, dad, waves bye bye, knows where her head is,loves to play peek-a-boo and cover your eyes for you, loves to ride on her horsey toy, walks really well, mimics noises, doesn't like getting kisses, likes to sit on my hip and be held, falls asleep easily at nap time, loves to be bounced, and thrown around on mom and dads bed, she likes to stand in the middle of the bed and just fall backwards and giggles her head off. loves to brush her teeth, loves to cuddle with blanky auntie Ranna made at nap time, likes to grab her toes. She gets very upset when she wakes up in the middle of the night and has a very hard time falling back to sleep, loves to cuddle during the day, hates to cuddle at night when she is tired. Loves Morgan, plays with her all day, laughs when morgan licks her, plays tug-of-war, and fetch with Morgan. has a love/hate relationship about being tickled. Has a very serious expression on her face most of the day. She is easily entertained. Loves to be outside.

They can't fall asleep alone, they both have to have naps together. They love to play with eachother. I love that they have a friend in eachother. They like to get into mischief together. They love to hide eachother in the closet and play peek-a-boo. Like to hurry and close the door in eachothers face when they see the other one coming. Like to suck on eachothers fingers. They have to be together at all times. If I take one baby in the other room the other will scream and chase us down. They get jealous of each other. But most of all they have SO much fun together.

Pony rides. 02/06/2009

Jaxon loves getting horsey rides from dad, and now he is always jumping on Morgan's back, Morgan just sits there with a sad look on her face and Jaxon is smiling so big and going up and down. Here he is wondering why Joss doesnt trot around the house like dad when he climbs on her back. Poor Joss.
