Today we went to church with the babies. They looked so cute in their new church clothes. Jaxon had to be bounced in the hallway for a bit, but joss fell right asleep. It is 50 degrees outside and gorgeous. The snow is melting and the sun is shining. I can't wait for spring!

The last 2 nights have been the best so far. We have been putting the babies down for the night around 11pm, and then getting them up at 7am. Joss has been waking up crying a few times, but we just let her cry herself back to sleep. It breaks my heart to do that, but I know it will be better for them and us, if they start figuring out that they need to sleep through the night. We keep going in and checking on them so they know we are here, but we don't get them out of bed until 7. It has been working out pretty good so far.

Here comes Peter Cotton-tail

The twins are almost 5 months old, and have still been waking up every 3 hours. The last week Josselyn has been up every 1hour and 45 minutes. It is killing us. If I don't get some sleep soon I think I will literally die. We had the babies Dr appointments yesterday Joss is 13lbs 10 oz. Jax is 12lbs 13 oz.  They are growing and gaining weight well.  Our Dr said it is time now to start letting them just cry themselves to sleep. They no longer need to eat every 3 hours at night. Our rules are: Wait 30 minutes, if they haven't stopped screaming, go stand by their crib so they can see us and wait for 1 minute then go away. Repeat. We aren't allowed to sing, touch them, interact at all. Just stand there so they know if they need us we are there. But we have to make it a boring visit.  We decided not to dream to big, and had their last feeding be 11:00pm (Jax) 1:00am (Joss) and we were not going to get them up until 7:00am. So Jason took the first shift until 3am. Then I took the second shift from 3am on. We are also allowed to give them 1 tbsp of rice cereal in their bottle at their last feeding right before they go to bed. So I don't know about Jasons shift but mine sucked! Jax only woke up at  4:30 am, and 6am. My shift started at 3:00, and Joss happened to wake up screaming at 3:04am. She was also up at 5, 6, and finally 7.  Hopefully we can be very strict with this new schedule and I pray it wont take very long until they are sleeping through the night. And if I hear one more mother tell me their one month old sleeps 13 hours I will break down and cry.

Jaxon and Josselyn's first Valentines Day. Which will be spent hanging out with mom and dad followed by a nice dinner of a vintage bottle of  Similac Advanced Soy formula.

The twins got into a riveting show of the Doodlbops last night. It was their second time watching a baby tv show. As you can see from the pictures below it started off as a very intense show, then got quite boring, then ended with Josselyn clinging to a scared Jaxon as they comforted each other through the chilling ending.

Yesterday we went to Grandma's work to play for a few hours. It was so fun.

Today we had the babies blessed at church. I was so grateful to all of our family who weathered the blizzard to be there. It was such a bad snow storm many of our family members called to say they were snowed in.Some parts of the valley had waist deep snow!  We missed those who couldn't be there, and we completely understand those that couldn't make it. Safety is much more important. We were so happy for those who were able to make it. We had a fun party at our house after. It was so fun to see all my cousins that I don't get to see very often. We love our huge family so much at it was awesome to get together. We need to do it more often! The babies looked so cute in their blessing outfits. They were so good through church and slept the whole time.
