Silly kids! 01/31/2010
Our Saturday night 01/31/2010
Our Saturday night was like most Saturday nights. Dancing, laughing, and tossing popcorn in the air. Joss LOVES to talk on the phone 01/31/2010
She totally mimics me when I am on the phone. She has like 5 old cell phones and is always chatting on one of them. I ask her who she is talking to and it's always someone different. Dad, Papa, Cece, sometimes it's even me. She laughs, and throws her head back, and jabbers 90 miles an hour. The other day she slammed her hand down on the counter, gasped really loud ("HAAAAAAAAH!") with her mouth wide open, as if to say "Oh my gosh seriously?!" It was so cute! Quack Quack 01/31/2010
We went to lunch at Dads work on Friday. The kids love to see the ducks there. I told Jason to park a little ways away so we wouldn't scare the ducks away when we pulled up. As we got out of the car and started walking towards them they came running at us! Scared the crap out of me. I guess these ducks aren't afraid of people. They are all fat from all the employees in the business park feeding them their lunch scraps. When they saw us coming they knew it meant food! Chuck E Cheeses! 01/31/2010
Friday we went to Chuck E Cheeses for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and Dad. Jax and Joss were in heaven! Except for this truck ride, it was a little too scary. Finally shaking this virus 01/29/2010
The kids passed their nasty virus on to me and i have been in bed with laryngitis for 5 days. I am finally feeling better today. A big thanks to Jason's mom. She was super grandma this week and has helped watched the kids while I moaned and groaned and hacked my black lung up. Here are a few pictures of the last week. Happy Birthday Grandma Ninny 01/29/2010
Jax and Joss made Grandma Ninny her own birthday cake and card. The plan was to go out to Bonsai for dinner. Joss wasn't feeling good so we decided to get Bonsai take out. It's a good thing we didn't end up going out, because that is the night we ended up in the ER with Joss. Making a cake with two 2 yr olds is very messy! ER with Joss 01/23/2010
Joss woke up from her nap yesterday with a really yucky croup cough. I put some ice chips in the nebulizer to get her breathing in some cool wet air. She was burning up and freaking out. I tried to give her Motrin and she wouldn't take it. The more she cried the worse she got. She started really gasping for breathe and her ribs were retracting in and her lips were turning purple. It turned bad so fast. I started crying. I called Jason's parents and they rushed over. I bundled her up like a little snowman, tossed her in the car and took her on the "croup loop." We rolled the windows down so she could really breathe in the cold air. I stopped by the fire department and a paramedic came out and said she was still oxygenating ok and to keep her outside in the cool air. He said that since she already had 2 doses of steroids this week and it has been 4 days (croup is normally better by the 4th day) that we should take her to Primary Children's Hospital to get an epinephrine breathing treatment if she didn't start to get better. We drove home, bundled her up and Jason and his mom took turns rocking her in the rocking chair on the front porch to see if it would help. After about an hour she was still struggling so we decided to take her to Primary's. They were glad we brought her in and gave her another dose of steroids, Motrin, and an epinephrine breathing treatment. After the epinephrine they had to observe her for 2 hours to make sure she wouldn't get bad again after it wore off. The adrenaline in the medicine gave her her second wind and she was singing and dancing and doing nursery rhymes and being such a sweetheart. We ended up getting home a little after midnight, and she is doing a lot better today. Yes, it's permanent 01/21/2010
Both kids were laying in my bed watching a movie. I stepped into the other room to take a phone call from my step mom. We talked for about 5 minutes and THIS is what I came back to: All I could do was laugh, and of course run for the camera. A little while later I uploaded the pictures to the computer and said "Jax, look at your face!" He got very concerned and confused and started running his cheek. I took him to the bathroom to wash it off. He took one look at himself in the mirror and burst out laughing. I have never seen him laugh like that. He thought he was hilarious! By the way, baby oil works great! There is still little traces of marker on his face, but it is MUCH better. I swear! I can't turn my back for 5 minutes with these two! My favorite things to snuggle with 01/19/2010
